New Look Eyewear reports higher profit and sales for the second quarter

MONTREAL - New Look Eyewear Inc. (TSX:BCI) posted earnings of $2.7 million for the second quarter, up from $2 million in the same period last year.

The company said Tuesday revenue rose by almost 13 per cent to $24 million, up from $21.3 million last year, as the company added three new stores and affiliations with two independent optical clinics.

Net earnings amounted to 26 cents per share, up from 19 cents per share last year.

New Look, which makes lenses and sells eyeglasses, has 76 stores in Quebec and Ontario.
