Newfoundland and Labrador premier appoints Ross Reid new chief of staff

ST. JOHN'S, N.L. - Newfoundland and Labrador Premier Kathy Dunderdale has named Ross Reid as her new chief of staff.

Reid replaces Brian Taylor who recently stepped down after serving in the position since 2010.

Reid's appointment is effective immediately.

He was most recently deputy minister responsible for the provincial population growth strategy and was deputy minister to the premier from November 2003 until January 2007.

Reid is also a former MP and federal cabinet minister who was responsible for Newfoundland and Labrador.
