Nova Scotia announces money to improve sports centre, buy new equipment

PORT HOOD, N.S. - The Nova Scotia government has announced more than $42,000 for improvements to a sports facility in Inverness County.

The Al MacInnis Sports Centre in Port Hood will receive mechanical upgrades, new equipment, a fresh coat of paint and other maintenance.

Economic Development Minister Graham Steele was at the centre Monday to announce the funding.

The facility opened in 1975.
