Mounties were called after a woman reported a piece of metal had penetrated through the wall of her garage on Monday.
“This item appeared to have been projected through the alley side of her garage and travelled at sufficient velocity to ... end up inside the garage,” said Sgt. Peter Thiessen in a statement.
Another piece of metal was forced through the wall of another garage and out the other side, police said.
Officers found a car in a driveway behind the residences with severe damage.
“[The vehicle] had sustained significant damage to the two rear wheels and the undercarriage.… The cement driveway was scorched and appears to have sustained some surface damage consistent with an explosion. Pieces of metal, fragments of rubber and other material were also observed in the area,” he added.
Nobody was hurt in the incident.
Investigators have not identified a motive or any suspects.
