TIFF's bi-monthly Packaged Goods series — surveying some of the most innovative music videos, short films and TV spots from around the world — is back to delve into the starstruck (and often hilarious) world of celebrity endorsements and music video cameos.
Ranging from the artful to the oddball — with a few throwbacks in the mix — the line-up includes innovative commercials and music videos featuring A-list celebs.
"Celebrity endorsements have been a tool for brands since the dawn of media," explains Shane Smith, Director of Public Programmes at TIFF Bell Lightbox. "What better way to usher in festival fever than with a program dedicated to celebrities, and exploring the brands that work with them."
Waking up married to George Clooney, Lionel Richie serenading a man from the inside of his refrigerator, or watching "Mad Men" bombshell Christina Hendricks seductively lounging by the pool, are just some of the priceless moments in this Packaged Goods: Celeb Spotting screening.
