AMHERST, N.S. - A Maritime call-centre company says it plans to hire up to 130 new employees over the next five years at its Amherst location.

The Nova Scotia government says it's offering Advantage Communications up to $829,200 in incentives if the company meets hiring targets.

Advantage Communications provides bilingual services to clients across North America.

The company launched in P.E.I. in 1996 and has more than 400 employees in five locations throughout the Maritimes, including 55 in its Amherst office.

It has also three offices in P.E.I., including Charlottetown, Summerside and Souris, as well as a location in Dieppe, N.B.
