Murder charge laid in small B.C. town shooting

A northern B.C. man has been charged with second-degree murder in the shooting death of his 36-year-old son.

North District RCMP Const. Lesley Smith said Jacques Seguin, 66, is in custody and will make an appearance in court later this week.

Christopher Seguin, 36, of Vanderhoof, died in what Smith called a "domestic incident" in Takla Landing, B.C.

The small community of Takla Landing, which is home to the Takla Lake First Nation, is located approximately 160 km northwest of Fort St. James.
