When a family of an autistic boy received an offensive letter suggesting the 13-year-old be euthanized earlier this week, they turned to the public for support.

By Friday, that support came.

First, a rally for the boy in the Durham area was organized by local motorcyclists.

Then a petition emerged online to demand that the letter be considered a hate crime.

Now there's a IndieGoGo campaign to send him and his family on vacation.

The campaign started this morning and $1,500 has already been contributed towards a $3,500 goal.
