Edmonton Northeast Death Treated As Suspicious, Woman In Custody

An Edmonton woman has been taken into custody after the suspicious death of a 56-year-old man.

Paramedics responded to a medical distress call at a home near 84 Street and 160 Avenue around 10 p.m. Sunday, where they found a man in cardiac arrest.

He was transported to hospital and died around 2:50 a.m., police said in a news release.

A woman who lives in the Belle Rive home was taken into custody.

Police are treating the death as suspicious.

An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday.
