Elderly woman's nose reattached after attack in Toronto elevator

A 76-year-old woman underwent surgery to reattach a piece of her nose after it was severed in a random weekend attack in downtown Toronto.

Police are still looking for the man who attacked the woman in an underground parking elevator at Yonge-Dundas Square, cutting off half her nose with a weapon

Police say the woman had just stepped off a streetcar near Yonge and Dundas streets, outside the Eaton Centre, when she was approached by a man at about 2 p.m. ET on Saturday.

The woman has been released from hospital.

Police are looking for a man described as:

- 40 to 60 years old.

- Between 5-foot-6 and 5-foot-8.
