Oilers bring Linus Omark back to NHL

The Edmonton Oilers have repatriated Linus Omark, agreeing to terms with the forward on a one-year deal that returns him to the NHL after a season playing in Europe.

The 26-year-old Swede spent the 2012-13 campaign with Zug in the Swiss Elite League, collecting a team-high 69 points (17 goals) in 48 games.

Omark was picked in the fourth round of the 2007 NHL draft by the Oilers and played stints with Edmonton during the 2010-11 and 2011-12 seasons, recording 30 points (eight goals) in 65 games.

He also spent time with the Oilers' AHL affiliate in Oklahoma City, registering 47 points (20 goals) in 46 games.
