Homicide Investigators Called To Coquitlam Neighbourhood

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team has been called to a Coquitlam, B.C., neighbourhood after a man was reportedly shot and killed overnight.

Police are releasing few details at this time.

UPDATE: The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) identified the victim in a Coquitlam shooting as Joey Lamont Arrance, 34, in a Thursday news release. Arrance had a criminal record and was known to associate with gangs.

Brunette Avenue is closed between Laval Street and Laurentian Street, and Schoolhouse Street is blocked north of Brunette Avenue.
