The newly-renovated Guildford Town Centre reopened in Surrey today, featuring new stores such as Disney, La Senza and H&M as part of a strategy to attract younger and more affluent shoppers.

As the CBC's Dan Burritt reports, the owners are hoping the $280 million upgrade will convince the shoppers, who might otherwise head south to the U.S., north to Coquitlam, or west to Burnaby and Vancouver, to spend their money in Surrey instead.
