BMX bike beating suspects sought in West Vancouver

Police in West Vancouver are searching for two suspects who allegedly assaulted a 57-year-old man with their BMX bikes.

A witness told police the victim was lying on the ground in the 100 block of Whonoak Road just after 10 p.m. PT Wednesday night when the two suspects allegedly rode their BMX bikes over him.

One of the suspects then circled back, allegedly picked up his bike and struck the man in the head.

When the witness approached the suspects, they allegedly fled on the bikes.

The victim was taken to hospital with unknown injuries and was released Thursday morning.

The suspects are described as male, 20 to 30 years of age, slim build, unknown ethnicity, both wearing blue jeans and black hoodies with hoods covering most of their faces. One of the males may have had facial hair.
