Woman falls 25 metres, suffers only minor injuries

Police say a woman who fell 25 metres over a cliff in Northern Bay miraculously received only minor injuries from the fall.

The 20-year-old fell from a cliff on Isaac Cove, N.S., on Saturday.

She was able to stay away from the water due to low tide.

Trinity-Conception RCMP conducted the rescue with the assistance of the North Shore Fire Department and a number of community residents.

A boat was deployed from the Ochre Pit Cove wharf into the area, which took the woman from the cove to a waiting ambulance.

She was then taken to Carbonear General Hospital.
