VANCOUVER - One cyclist is dead and two teenage pedestrians are in hospital following separate accidents on Metro Vancouver roadways.

Staff Sgt. Ghalib Bhayani of the Burnaby RCMP says a 50-year-old male cyclist who collided in the late afternoon with an 18-wheel tractor-trailer near the Trans-Canada Highway has died in hospital.

Vancouver police say a car collided with a 13-year-old boy in the late afternoon, and now the teen is in hospital but in stable condition.

Mounties in Port Coquitlam say a 15-year-old pedestrian is in hospital with life-threatening injuries, following a collision with a truck.

Mounties say the truck allegedly fled the scene after the accident, and they're now looking for a black Ford F150 with a black canopy, and an older male with greying hair.

Several roads in the area were closed as police investigated and reconstructed the accident.
