A couple more days of summer left for B.C.'s South Coast

B.C.'s South Coast gets one more full day of summer weather Saturday thanks to a continued high-pressure system to our east. Temperatures will be slightly cooler today with the marine influence back in play, says CBC meteorologist Johanna Wagstaffe.

Overnight and morning clouds and fog will continue to move in. That has made its way north from California over the last couple of days.

Sunday is our transition day. A low-pressure system is approaching and, while Sunday will start off fair, the air mass over the South Coast will become increasingly unstable as the day progresses. That means a risk of afternoon thunderstorms, evening showers and a cooler night.

Our summer week will be but a distant memory starting Monday. Wetter and cooler weather are here to stay for most of next week.
