A South Surrey man has been sentenced to nine months in jail and two years probation for possessing child pornography.

Douglas Wayne Bowers, who turns 64 today, assembled collages of his victims, mixing their images with online nudes.

Police raided his home in June 2009 and found what was described as child porn — 250 videos and more than 1,000 images including two doctored images of a child and several images of unknown naked children.

Bowers pleaded guilty to child porn possession in December 2010.

Conditions of his probation include:

- No access to public parks, playgrounds or community centres.

- No contact with minors.

- No job where he will be in position of trust or authority with minors.

- No access to the internet.
