If you didn't get a chance to run or watch "The Amazing Race Canada" the first time around, you're in luck -- CTV is bringing back the reality show for a second season.

Announced during last night's "After The Race" special, after father-son team Tim Hague Jr. and Tim Hague, Sr. crossed the finish line first to win Season 1, host Jon Montgomery smiled widely and encouraged Canadians to get their audition tapes ready. Season 1 contestants' audition tapes are available to view if you need some inspiration.

Montgomery didn't provide a specific time to submit an audition tape -- all he said was "later this fall," so that means you don't have a lot of time to create a tape.

"We hope that the tremendous success of Season 1 of 'The Amazing Race Canada' will inspire even more Canadians to step up to the mat for Season 2," said Phil King, President, CTV Programming and Sports. "With so many wonderfully diverse people in this country, from all walks of life and backgrounds, the second season promises to be even more heart-racing than the first."

"We knew immediately that we had something special on our hands, we had a terrific cast and an exciting host -- and that magic clearly resonated with Canadians," said John Brunton, Executive Producer, Insight Productions. "Season 1 was a love letter to Canada that blossomed into a full-blown, record-smashing love affair with Canadians. We couldn't be more proud to deliver Season 1, and can't wait to get started on Season 2."

Canada’s most-watched program of the summer, and the #2 program of the entire broadcast year, "Amazing Race Canada" had an average audience of 3.3 million viewers each week. The original series vaulted into the record books earlier this summer as the biggest debut on record for a series in Canada (3.5 million viewers), and has kept pace ever since.
