Josh Homme: Jay Z Should 'F*** Off' (VIDEO)

Rock Star Tells Strombo Jay Z Should 'F*** Off'

Queens of the Stone Age rocker Josh Homme is obviously not a big fan of Jay Z.

During a radio interview this weekend with CBC's George Stroumboulopoulos, Homme attacked the rapper over the treatment he and his bandmates received during the Made in America Festival.

"Jay Z, that guy is a kook," Homme said, referencing the heavy security around the music mogul.

"He has security frisking the bands on the way in," Homme said. "I just told him if you open up my bag then we're not playing. So, I guess it's up to you now to decide whether I'm playing or not."

The security at the Festival founded by Jay Z wasn't the only thing that rankled Homme about the rapper.

"He also gave us some champagne and wanted us to take a photo with it,” the 40-year-old singer said. “And I thought that’s not a gift that is a marketing tool. So I destroyed it. Because I thought it was rude overall. And you shouldn’t frisk my guys, you should fuck off."

Homme's temper has earned him headlines before.

In 2004, he was arrested for assaulting Dwarves frontman Blag Dahlia at a club in Los Angeles. He pleaded no to contest on two counts of battery, but that doesn't mean he was sorry.

"I went there to attack and humiliate him," Homme told the LA Times. "That's what I did."

In 2008, Homme was criticized for calling an audience member who threw a bottle at him during the Norwegian Wood festival a "chicken-shit fucking faggot." Homme responded with an open letter in which he said he is not a homophobe and that his rage was "flu-infused."

This year's Made In America Festival featured performances from Beyonce, Kendrick Lamar, deadmau5, A$AP Public Enemy, Rocky, Nine Inch Nails and more.
