FREDERICTON - New Brunswick Liberal Leader Brian Gallant is going to seek his party's nomination in Shediac Bay-Dieppe for the provincial election in 2014.

Gallant currently represents the riding of Kent.

He won the seat in a byelection in April after winning the party's leadership in October.

In a statement, Gallant says he was raised and lives in the riding of Shediac Bay-Dieppe on land that has been in his family for more than 100 years.

Shediac Bay-Dieppe is a new riding created under a redistribution of the province's electoral districts for the next election.
