Driver faces 4 charges after Kronos picket struck by SUV

The driver who struck a locked-out worker picketing in front of Kronos in Boucherville, Que. is now facing criminal charges.

The incident occurred on Aug. 22, when Pierrot Gobeil, a driver with Groupe Robert Transport, tried to enter the site in his SUV, striking a 64-year-old man on the picket line.

Gobeil, 47, is facing four charges, including dangerous driving, assault with a weapon and assault causing bodily harm.

The man who was run over suffered serious injuries and was in hospital for close to a month. He underwent skin grafts to his feet and is still suffering mobility problems.
