There’s more Canadian talent on the red carpet than you may be aware of.

Along with the beautiful faces from the Great White North we’re used to seeing like Ryan Gosling, Nina Dobrev and Drake, more and more Canadian designers are seeing their work on A-listers as they promote their new movies and attend award shows.

“Twilight" star Nikki Reed was recently spotted at the People StyleWatch Denim Awards wearing Toronto-based label Smythe by designer duo Andrea Lenczner and Christie Smythe. (We're obsessed with their fitted blazers.)

Other fans of the Canadian label include former “Gossip Girl” actress, Blake Lively who has been spotted in their cozy and chic designs on several occasions. “Heart of Dixie” actress Rachel Bilson and Canadian style icon Jeanne Beker have also been seen happily sporting the sought after Smythe blanket coat for HBC. You can’t get more Canadian than that!

Kate Middleton is another high-profile First Lady of sorts who enjoys wearing Canadian.

The Duchess of Cambridge was seen on her second anniversary wearing a darling peach coat by Canadian-born designer, Tara Jarmon. Prince George's mum is also a huge fan of Erdem, a label that has its roots at Ryerson University in Toronto.

Erdem Moralioglu, who is based in the UK but was born in Montreal, earned his B.A in fashion from Ryerson before he started outfitting the likes of Kiera Knightly, Diane Kruger and Michelle Williams.

Erdem isn't the only Canadian designer to make it big outside our borders; Sunny Fong of “Project Runway Canada” fame has also started to see his star rise. Katy Perry recently wore a regal looking design from his VAWK line to the 2013 MuchMusic Video Awards and homegrown singer Serena Ryder also wore a custom made VAWK gown to the MMVAs.

International style stars aside, you can't be taken seriously in Canadian fashion if you don't recognize the names Kirk Pickersgill and Stephen Wong of Greta Constantine. The duo has dressed celebrities like Canadian supermodel Coco Rocha who just recently wore a stunning navy Greta Constantine gown to the Met’s opening night performance of “Eugene Onegin.”

Although Canadians generally don't receive as much international recognition as their European or American counterparts, we at HuffPost Canada Style are doing our part by paying attention to our brilliant Canadian designers.
