More B.C. showers before sunshine returns

The South Coast is now behind last night's cold front, but lingering showers will remain in the forecast early Monday evening, before things clear back out, says CBC meteorologist Johanna Wagstaffe.

Temperatures will be back down to the low to mid teens over the next couple of days, and winds will be quite gusty behind the front, especially near the water, through to Tuesday afternoon.

A short-lived, but sunny high-pressure system will build in for Tuesday through to Thursday. The next chance of showers will come Friday.

The cold front is now tracking across the Interior, and there is a special weather statement in place for the Okanagan Connector. Four to eight cm of snow may fall there tonight.
