Dr. Charles Tator, an expert in concussions in sport, joined Hockey Night in Canada Radio on Sirius XM hosts Rob Pizzo and Cassie Campbell-Pascall Thursday to talk about how it's becoming a widespread concern for parents across the nation.
He also talked about the Chevrolet Safe and Fun Program, which is helping to promote safety among young hockey players. As part of the Hockey Helmet Program, Chevrolet will be giving away a free helmet to young players born in 2008 to help them stay safe while getting their hockey careers started.
Dr. Tator also keyed in on several important points for parents and their children alike in order to recognize and prevent not only concussion symptoms, but how to promote responsible behaviour on the ice.
