NANAIMO, B.C. - The body of a missing Washington state diver has been recovered near Nanaimo, B.C.

RCMP say a commercial diver located the body during a dive off Snake Island.

Police say the diver was able to secure the body until an RCMP patrol vessel could arrive.

The missing man was among three Washington residents who went diving Friday near Snake Island, a popular spot that's a boat ride from Departure Bay in Nanaimo.

The Dive Industry Association of B.C. has said the men were participating in a deep dive when complications arose.

One of the divers made it back to shore and another was confirmed dead on Saturday, leaving the third man missing until his body was found the following day.
