Vancouver MP Don Davies quickly deleted a tweet he posted Wednesday after the building housing the Prime Minister's Office was evacuated due to the discovery of a suspicious package.
But not before the tweet was seen by many on the Hill and drew criticism ranging from "despicable" to "the worst tweet in Canadian politics today".
After deleting the message about 10 minutes after posting it, the NDP MP tweeted an apology of sorts.
Glad person apprehended and everyone's safe - didn't mean to make light of safety issue
