Fans were just a bit upset Saturday night after Drake cancelled his concert in Philadelphia over an hour after it was scheduled to start.

A spokesperson for the venue, the Wells Fargo Center, released a statement saying the show would be postponed until Dec. 18 due to "the elaborate nature of tonight's show and an unexpected technical issue", Rolling Stone reports.

The show was supposed to begin at 7 p.m., but the announcement came at around 8:30 p.m., according to NBC Philadelphia.

Fans were told their tickets would be honoured for the new concert date.

According to InFlexWeTrust's Marisa Mendez, the rumour is that the production team arrived late and couldn't set up the stage safely in time.

Saturday's stop was the second on Drake's 'Would You Like A Tour' tour, which had already been delayed three weeks due to what his reps have said via press release is an intense rehearsal schedule and "technical production requirements that are part of the show".

But Drake fans aren't the only ones disappointed this weekend. Ticket-holders for Kanye West's show in Vancouver tonight will also have to wait to see Yeezy after the concert was postponed until Oct. 31.
