Connor Stefanison was 17 when he first took up photography. Now 22, the Burnaby man has, according to Global News, become the first North American to win the prestigious Eric Hosking Portfolio Award.
Recognizing the best wildlife photographers between ages 18 to 26, the Eric Hosking Portfolio Award honours the best submitted portfolio of six to 10 photos. With the Award, which is co-owned by BBC Worldwide and London's Natural History Museum, comes the prestigious title of Wildlife Photographer of the Year.
Stefanison's photos will be exhibited at the museum until next March.
According to his website, Stefanison is currently finishing up a biology degree and hopes to one day become a full-time wildlife photographer.
