With Prince George’s christening only a day away, royal watchers are still wondering whether Prince Harry’s girlfriendCressida Bonas will be there.

The blond it-girl has been invited to what is expected to be an intimate royal event, according to the Daily Mail, but is reportedly anxious about attending.

“She’s very, very nervous, about everything, but Prince Harry is being very protective of her and wants her there,” an unnamed source said.

UPDATE: Don’t expect to see Cressida Bonas at Prince George’s christening, according to People Magazine.

A “family friend” said she hasn’t been invited to the private gathering.

“It was always so unlikely that she would be invited. To say she is shy and mulling it over is rubbish,” the source said.

The service will take place at the Chapel Royal at St. James’ Palace, which only has seating for about 60 people, CTV reported.

If she does attend, Cressie will join a host of royal guests, perhaps a sign that her relationship with the prince is getting serious.

Prince Harry and his bohemian beauty have been dating for at least 18 months, and rumour has it an engagement is in the cards, even though Bonas had reservations about marrying into the royal family at first.

If so, perhaps a different sort of royal gathering isn’t far off.
