For the first time in this municipal election campaign, the four main candidates vying for the position of Montreal mayor will square off in an all-English debate hosted by CBC Montreal in partnership with McGill University.

The debate, moderated by CBC’s Andrew Chang, will see candidates Richard Bergeron, Denis Coderre, Marcel Côté and Mélanie Joly address issues that matter to Montrealers in an hour-long debate at McGill’s Tanna Schulich Hall.

The debate will be broadcast live on CBC Radio One in Montreal, on CBC television and will be live streamed on CBC's municipal election site starting at 5 p.m.

While seating is full at the venue, you can take part in the discussion online or on your mobile device through our live chat, hosted by CBC’s Nancy Wood, or follow key moments in the debate on CBC Montreal’s Twitter feed.

After the debate, stay tuned to CBC television and cbc.ca/montreal for coverage of the post-debate remarks by the candidates.
