At the beginning of the month, we put beloved Canadian treasure Drake on a list of the most stylish “Degrassi” alumni.

This time, we want to go full tilt and focus on the style evolution of the newly minted Raptors Global Ambassador (and birthday boy) who is so au courant that we think it's about time he start his own clothing line.

Aubrey Drake Graham, who turned 27 on Thursday, has come a long way from his days playing resident goody-goody Jimmy Brooks on the Canadian TV classic, "Degrassi: The Next Generation."

Drake's Style Evolution

The 26-year-old used to chill out in oversize jean jackets and too-baggy-for-his-own-good sweats but as his musical career has blossomed, his style has taken a turn for the better.

The "Hold On, We're Going Home" crooner has traded in his basketball shorts for fitted sweaters, tailored designer suits and a sharp attitude.

But in getting to where he is now, Rihanna's ex made his fair share of style mishaps.

Drizzy pre-rap stardom dressed like a typical high schooler/wannabe thug with extra baggy jeans, purple hoodies and curious printed shirts.

But even though the Toronto native has gone all GQ (um, did you see those hot photos?), Drake still hasn't forgotten his roots.

Rihanna's ex still continues to wear baggy pants (of the stylishly distressed kind), fitted hoodies, sweats, his favourite sneakers and even the occasional denim jacket (not oversized but tailored, natch).

When he's not hanging out with his homies, the "Started From the Bottom" singer is decked out in his $5,000 custom arctic fox fur gold hardware bomber jacket (yeah, that's right) and being "Coveteured" by the hippest fashionistas in the biz.

But despite the glamorous look, the loveable celeb can't (and won't) shake off his Canadian roots.
