Reser’s salad recall expands over Listeria risk

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has widened it's recall warning of salad products made by Reser's Fine Foods.

There are now 29 different products under a voluntary recall, and the CFIA say they may contain the bacteria Listeria.

The recall includes certain batches of Market Pantry coleslaw, macaroni salad, potato & egg salad and Reser's Fine Foods cheesy macaroni salad.

The products are sold at Wal-Mart stores across the country.

For a full list of the recalled products, visit the CFIA's website.

There have been no reported cases of illness as a result of the possible contamination.

Food contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes may not look or smell spoiled.

Symptoms of listeriosis include high fever, severe headache, neck stiffness and nausea. Pregnant women, the elderly and people with weakened immune systems are considered to be at higher risk.
