But clear skies and light winds through the overnight means temperatures will drop down to the low single digits in Vancouver Monday night, with a risk of the city's first frost for lower lying areas.
A weak cold front will slide through for Wednesday bringing a few showers, with a stronger system looking to bring rain for Friday and Saturday.
This has been one of the city's driest Octobers on record but whether it goes down in history as the driest depends on how much rain falls over the last two days of the month.
So far, Vancouver has had 21 consecutive days of dry weather, tying the second longest stretch. The record to beat is 24 days in 1986.
