The former mother-in-law of a man charged with 8 sex-related counts for trying to solicit sex with teens at the New Westminster SkyTrain station says he has a checkered past, and she wants too see him taken off the streets.

Transit Police announced last week that they had arrested and charged Dominik Vendette, 26, and Robert Gain, 20, with multiple sex-related charges after an investigation uncovered their attempts to lure underage girls to have sex in exchange for money, drugs and promises of movie roles.

The CBC's Bal Brach sat down with Vendette's former mother-in-law — whose identity has been concealed to protect her and her daughter — to talk about his criminal past and her concerns about his activities in Metro Vancouver.
