Cyclist, 45, dies after South Shore collision

A 45-year-old cyclist has died after he was hit by the mirror of a pickup truck yesterday on Montreal’s South Shore.

The cyclist was rushed to hospital with major head injuries after the incident on Tuesday.

The Richelieu-Saint-Laurent regional police force confirmed the man died overnight.

Police said the cyclist was travelling on Montée Ste-Julie when he turned into a lane reserved for cars.

It appears the man was not wearing a helmet.
