Mix of sun and showers for Vancouver tomorrow

With an unstable air mass in place across southern B.C., there is a chance for an isolated shower this evening and again tomorrow morning — even with the great sunny breaks today — says CBC meteorologist Wagstaffe.

After a record-breaking day for the Vancouver airport and West Vancouver yesterday, we may see more records fall by the end of the day with mid-teen temperatures in the forecast.

Winds will be shifting and picking up tomorrow afternoon along with cool air. By Friday, temperatures really drop as a stronger system slides in. Afternoon highs will struggle to get much above 6 C starting Friday and into early next week.

Overnight lows also drop as we head into the weekend, the rain that starts Friday may turn into wet flurries at higher elevations for Vancouver on Saturday. And this means heavy snow for the mountains.
