PRINCE RUPERT, B.C. - Search and rescue teams in northwestern B.C., are resuming a desperate search for two boaters missing on the Skeena River.

The man and woman, along with another man, were reported overdue after setting out on Sunday for a day on the river, east of Prince Rupert.

Searchers found the body of one of the men Tuesday night in the river near Frizzell Hot Springs, 32 kilometres east of the city.

There is no sign of the woman or the other man.

Prince Rupert RCMP Const. Matthew Ericson says vehicles belonging to the trio were spotted by a search plane early Tuesday morning, helping rescuers refine the search area.

There's no word what caused the death of the man pulled from the river and police have not released the names of any of the three people. (CFTK)
