Toronto Mayor Rob Ford continued his media blitz hours after he was stripped of many of his powers by city council on Monday.

"Today Show" host Matt Lauer sat down with Rob Ford and his brother, Councillor Doug Ford, for an interview that got heated at times.

Mayor Ford railed at council for removing his powers and cutting his office budget, actions that he claims take away the rights of the hundreds of thousands of people who voted for him in the 2010 election.

Lauer also tried to corner Ford on his crack confession. Lauer referred to Ford's evasions as "a game of semantics."

The host also confirmed that Ford was not signed up for any alcohol or drug treatment program.

"You're not in any alcohol treatment program, not in any drug treatment program," Lauer asked.

"No, I have a weight issue. I've been training everyday," Ford replied.

Lauer also asked Ford if his drinking would make him a liability if an emergency struck Toronto.

Ford dodged the question,"That could happen with anybody at any time. Say you had gone out drinking and you were drunk and something happened to your family..."

"The lives of a million people don't rest on my decisions," Lauer interjected.

Lauer ended the interview by asking Ford what would happen if Torontonians wanted to vote in another fiscally conservative mayor, but one without his personal baggage.

"They're not going to find another Rob Ford," the mayor answered.
