The CFIA said it suspended operations at Salaison Levesque Inc due to the company's failure to implement corrective measures to ensure the safety of its meat products.
The company makes a range of pork products, particularly smoked hams.
The agency said sanitation procedures weren’t being reliably or consistently respected. The company will have to implement these procedures before the CFIA reinstates its operating licence.
There is no recall associated with this suspension.
