Ten days from now, the eyes of the skiing world will be on Lake Louise for the first men's downhill race of the season — but unfortunately, North Vancouver's Robbie Dixon won't be there.

The 27-year-old downhill skier is still recovering from a horrific accident last year, when he snapped his right shin bones in a high-speed training accident.

And as the CBC's Karin Larsen tells us, Dixon's only race now is to be strong enough to compete at the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics in Russia.
