Alison Redford Criticizes Opposition For Undermining Flood Recovery Efforts

RED DEER, Alta. - Premier Alison Redford told party faithful that while they're trying to rebuild southern Alberta after the June floods, the opposition wants to tear it down.

Redford says the opposition politicians have hampered recovery efforts by politicizing the tragedy and pitting one group of victims against another.

The premier made the comments in a question-and-answer session with delegates at the party's annual general meeting in Red Deer.

Party rank and file have passed a number of resolutions, including a reaffirmation to not bring in a provincial sales tax.

Delegates were also casting ballots in a vote of confidence on Redford's leadership.
