Police are asking for the public's help after two men were stabbed Sunday night in Vaughan.

York Regional Police say five men were in a parking lot behind a grocery store at the corner of Bathurst Street and Rutherford Road when they were approached and attacked by four or five other men, armed with knives and an axe.

Two men were stabbed and the suspects fled the scene. The victims, a 19- and 20-year-old man, both from Richmond Hill, were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspects are described as male, Middle Eastern, roughly 20 years old and ranging in height from five feet nine inches tall to six foot two inches.

At least one of them was wearing an bandana over his face.

Police note the area is busy even late at night, and want to talk to anyone who was in the plaza around that time, and with any business owners who might have surveillance footage.
