HALIFAX - An update will be provided Tuesday on the Nova Scotia government's approach to closing schools.

Former provincial deputy minister Robert Fowler was appointed in June to lead a committee to develop a new review process for school closures.

Fowler and Education Minister Karen Casey are scheduled to release a school review discussion paper Tuesday.

Earlier this year, then-education minister Ramona Jennex asked the province's school boards to suspend all school closures until next year, saying the review process has become adversarial and upsetting for parents and school boards.
