A babysitter has admitted to drugging and sexually abusing children, CTV News is reporting.

Paul DeVries of Warminster, Ontario pleaded guilty to three charges in an Ontario court on Monday -- administering a noxious substance, making child pornography and invitation to sexual touching.

Local children were frequently left in the 36-year-old's care at his home, about 140 km north of Toronto, the court heard.

DeVries admitted to mixing sleeping aids in with the children's lemonade, before abusing them, QMI Agency reports. At least once, he took photos of the assault.

“The children have no recollection that anything had been done to them because they were asleep while the assaults took place,” Crown attorney Ann Tierney said during a preliminary hearing last summer.
