Canada's global tax competitiveness ranked

Jack Mintz, director of the school of public policy at the University of Calgary, releases his annual ranking of Canadian tax competitiveness compared to the rest of the world.

Mintz has said Canada faces the threat of becoming less competitive to investment because of populist pressure to raise corporate taxes.

Canadian tax rates have been falling for a decade as the Harper government makes successive tax cuts.

Mintz has argued that any increase in taxes would lead to reduced international investment and fewer job opportunities in Canada.
