Thaven Philip Gardiner Charged With First Degree Murder In The Death Of Philipp Jochen Woehrle

EDMONTON - A man from Kelowna, B.C., has been charged with first-degree murder in the death of a man whose body was found after a residential fire in Edmonton last year.

The medical examiner determined Philipp Jochen Woehrle, 28, died as the result of homicide.

Woehrle’s body was found by fire crews putting out the blaze.

Thaven Philip Gardiner, 38, was arrested in Kelowna on Tuesday.

He will be remanded before a judge in B.C. before being returned to Edmonton to face the charge.
