Liquor in B.C. grocery stores backed by former minister

A proposal to allow liquor sales in grocery stores in British Columbia has been backed by Parliamentary Secretary for Liquor Reform John Yap.

In a press conference Thursday, Yap said it was likely liquor could be sold in Safeway and Costco although convenience stores such as 7-11 would not be eligible.

Yap also said liquor would be sold separately to groceries.

More to come.
