Also known as a health care bus, the clinic will visit small communities in western Manitoba, including Binscairth and the Birdtail Sioux First Nation.
The vehicle includes two exam rooms as well as diagnostic equipment, and will be staffed by a nurse practitioner and a registered nurse.
Health Minister Erin Selby says the mobile clinic will bring checkups and other treatments closer to people's homes, and two more vehicles will be on the road in areas to the east in 2015.
The mobile health units were first promised in the NDP government's 2010 throne speech, and were supposed to be up and running the following year.
The project was pushed back in part due to technical issues, such as ensuring there is backup electrical power and protection from the cold for the medical equipment.
