The return of the Buffalo Bills and removal of the crumbling Dufferin Street bridge will contribute to delays in and around the city this weekend.

The Dufferin bridge, located west of the Exhibition GO station, will be removed by the city this weekend forcing the commuter service to shut down train and bus services along the Lakeshore West line.

The closures are in effect Saturday through to Sunday which could mean delays for travelling downtown for the NFL game between the Bills and Altanta Falcons or other events.

The kickoff for the game is at 4:05 p.m.

GO Transit is advising customers of the following changes to service in the GTA and surrounding area:

- Route 12 – All Niagara Falls train-meet buses to/from Burlington will be diverted to serve the Hamilton GO Centre. Burlington GO Station will not be serviced.

- Route 15 – All McMaster train-meet buses from Aldershot will be cancelled.

- Route 16 – All Hamilton/Toronto Express buses will continue to operate with an additional bus departing from Hamilton to Union at 5:30 a.m. and two bus trips returning from Toronto at 1:30 and 2:30 a.m.

- Route 18 – All Hamilton train-meet buses to/from Aldershot and buses to/from Union Station will be cancelled.

Saturday night's Cavalcade of Lights in Nathan Phillips Square is also expected to draw big crowds to the downtown core. The evening starts at 7 p.m. with performances from several award-winning with the tree lighting and fireworks an hour later.
